Your guide to the best pubs in London

Who we are...

Like everyone else, we love a pint. But why restrict yourself to the same drinking holes over and over again when there are so many places to discover in London. Every time we meet up, we get a pint in a new place trying to find the best pubs and bar in the city.

We score pubs based on the following categories to get to total a score out of 50:

• Price

  • How expensive are the pints and the food? All relative to the rest of London, not to the rest of the country.​

• Atmosphere

  • With all factors taken into consideration, we judge the atmosphere and what it would be like at its max.​

• Decor

  • Not personal taste, but has the place put a lot of effort into the decor? Does it have a well designed theme?​

• Novelty

  • What sets the place apart from the rest? Does it have a selling point or something specific to attract punters?​

• Staff

  • The whole place can't be judged on a single member of staff, so this has a lighter weighting on the overall rating.​​​

• Size

  • You can get great small pubs, and terrible big pubs. So similarly, this category has a lighter weighting on the rating.​

We're not perfect, so you probably won't agree with some of our ratings (or most of them) - but hopefully it gives you a better idea  of where the best places are in the capital!
